Kate Stepleton

Kate Stepleton is an Associate at the Center for the Study of Social Policy and a graduate of the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago. Her work is focused on the prevention of child and abuse and neglect as part of the national Strengthening Families through Early Care and Education Initiative. An interest in federal and state policymaking that creates measurable results for children and families drives her work, and a commitment to social justice grounds her professional and personal pursuits.

In addition to social welfare and prevention of child abuse and neglect, Kate’s interests include the use of technology in social innovation, pregnant and parenting teen issues, and gender and sexuality studies. Kate currently lives in Washington, DC.
