CHICAGO – The Apareció Foundation today announced its partnership with www.ActofGood.org. ActofGood.org is an internet-based social platform designed to connect people with the causes they care about. It was founded on a passion for philanthropy with the goal of connecting the community for social change.

The Apareció Foundation partners with Act of Good, a new Internet based social platform for charities

We are excited to announce that The Apareció Foundation has recently been approved for 501(c) 3 status and we are now able to accept donations and participate in fundraisers. Being a part of Act of Good will enhance the Foundation's cause of expanding our network, creating events, posting news, discussions, and uploading photos. Overall, this is the first step to success, so The Apareció Foundation can now start working for their mission statement, "Promoting diversity, accessibility and fellowship opportunities to advance academic achievement for low-income, high-potential women in Chicago Public High Schools."

Graduation Rate

The U.S. spends more per child on education than most developed nations, yet we continue to lag behind most of them. Although our graduation rates have remained static over the last decade, other countries have improved at a faster rate, and the United States continues to have a comparatively low graduation rate and among the highest college dropout rate in comparison to other nations.
